cat power

" Getting too warm in the midday sun,
Cigarette smoke and steaming ice tea
Are on the Sunday specials menu.
I see a cat, tall black and white
Elegantly feline, nonchalantly sure.
You see how all looks better
In a tinted brown shade
Upon lazy gazing eyes.
White blouse, grey socks
And a pair of little shorts
All held together tightly by
A pin called complexity.
Ironically, it's all very simple.
A sun a-shining, high up
In an entity called sky,
With a cigarette burning,
Smells weaving up a nose,
Misted glasses holding iced tea,
Accompanied with an ambient sort of music,
Then, a cat, standing tall and graceful
Under an entity called the sky. "
